I'm Ready for some St. Patty's Day Festivities!

Disclaimer: I am not Irish no shit right, just throwing that one out there just in case anyone's curious

Only 3 more days until race day and this morning I really tried to get the most out of my early A.M.  run. I'm a little nervous but ultimately excited and luckily this race isn't competitve; a pretty good starter race for me if I may say so myself. In the name of March, I'm sneaking out today to score a Carmel Irish Creme Latte bottle of Sephora's OPI Gleek Out. Its a sheer lime with a fine gold glitter and possibly a new party dress. If you're in St. Louis this weekend don't hesitate to catch the parade. If you're interested in running the parade run you can find out more info on this website http://www.irishparade.org/. Here's to hoping all the beer you drinking this weekend is Green!

Persistency is key they tell me....

My sister and I at Hooters, Downtown St.Louis

I'm off to the movies to see Number 4 tonight; oh how I do love action movies. I feel like I'm recovering from a week long hangover from a good time in St. Louis with family and I hardly drank. While Spring Break for me includes catching up on homework, I'm desperately counting down the days til I'm back with my family running the Saint Patties Day Parade Run this weekend. I even forced persuaded my sister, cousin and daddy to run with me. I missed out on the Disney Land  1/2 marathon this year. Poo. I just was not ready for that distance so I've vowed to myself to start slow and work my way up. One day I'd love to run a marathon, in the meantime I'll focus on the task at hand. With the weather warming up I'm looking forward to hitting the trails at the Nature Center.

Running on trails is one my favorite ways to decompress.
Spring goals include (but are not limited to):

  • Keep a consistent exercise and beauty regimen (my skin is ready for winter to be soo over)
  • Run 5 days a week
  • Survive these two internships (and school and work) ;)
  • Keep positiviy and happiness at the forefront of my days (i.e. go to meditation group regularly lol)
  • Blog 3x a week

These sum up the basics of what I want to stick to this season. So much to look forward to, so much to blog about: March Madness, Cardinals baseball and one girls adventure into an old city with a new twist living, loving and learning or just plain ole surviving her 20's but right now its time to grab some grub before the movie! TTYL Bloggy friends!

Is it okay to come out of hibernation yet?

Two weeks ago we experienced Thundersnow, yes Thundersnow, down here in the The Field and while I marched through snow towering to my knees I remembered why exactly I hate winter. Spring isn't supposed to start for another two weeks but I'm popping my head out of the cave a little early. Much has changed and kept me from my blog. For starters, hoorah for a new labtop, very much overdue. I guess now I have no excuse not to write. What I love so much about Spring is that starting fresh feeling, like New Year's all over again except better, because its not cold.

I'm not a gambler, but I'm hoping to enjoy the buffet they have at the casinos for sure!
This is my last semester at MSU. I'm highly anticipating being near my family and friends again. St. Louis is much more fun when you don't live there. In the meantime, I'll be soaking as much of little Springtown as I can. I'll miss it but we all have to move on into the next chapter of our lives at one point or another. So with out further ado, its back to blogging and enjoying life. Enjoy my site!
